Welcome to Flatwater North

​Flatwater North is Whitehorse's home for canoe and kayak sprint paddling.  We deliver a variety of programming including Canoe Kids summer camps, training to compete Regatta Ready programs, Sprint team training, Dragonboating, and school programs. Flatwater North is an affiliate club under the Flatwater Paddling Yukon Society territorial sport governing body.

Summer Programs

Canoe Kids
Fun-filled day camps that introduce canoeing,
kayaking, dragon boating, water safety, swimming,
field sports as well as cooperative games and
activities. ​​Ages 8 to 13.

Regatta Ready
​Regatta Ready is for 10 – 16 year olds who want to learn more paddling skills and learn to compete in sprint canoe and kayak. If you have participated in CanoeKids or have previous paddling experience, Regatta Ready is for you.
Sprint Team
Preseason and Summer Training options for youth athletes interested in competitive sprint canoe-kayak: paddling skill development, fitness, nutrition and racing technique.

Schwatka Lake

Flatwater North summer training takes place at Schwatka Lake Day Use Area at km 3.6 Chadburn Lake Road.  Winter programming is held at Whitehorse Elementary gym and the Canada Games Centre.
