IceBreaker Event


Event 1: 28.5 km race
June 6th, 2026 Ice Breaker
Start time: 11:00 AM

An intense and scenic 28.5 km race from Marsh Lake back to Schwatka Lake Day Use Area. Offers a "seasoned beginner" experience, often requiring navigation around low-water, snag-filled sections. The destination--Schwatka Lake Day Use Area—is located on the eastern shore via Chadburn Lake.

A safety boat will attend with participants.

Event 2: 7 km race
June 6th, 2026 Ice Breaker
Start time: 11:00 AM 

Starts from Schwatka Lake Day Use to Whitehorse Generating facility.
Easy, short race for beginners!

Who Can Participate:
We ask that people show up at 9:30 AM so that we can start the race on time. We will also have shuttles operating, that take participants to Marsh Lake.
