Welcome to Flatwater North!

​Flatwater North is Whitehorse's home for canoe and kayak sprint paddling.  We deliver a variety of programming including Canoe Kids summer camps, training to compete Regatta Ready programs, Sprint Team training, Dragonboating, and school programs. Flatwater North is an affiliate club under the Flatwater Paddling Yukon Society territorial sport governing body. Our new Head Coach, Pierre Arbez, is looking forward to bringing his passion for the sport to our amazing paddling communities in the Yukon.

Spring & Summer Programs

School Programs
Half and full day programs are available from Mid-May to Mid-June for grades 2-4 and grades 5-12.  Learn paddling skills and water safety using games and teamwork in dragonboats, canoes, kayaks, and SUPs.
Canoe Kids
Fun-filled day summer camps that introduce canoeing,
kayaking, dragon boating, water safety, swimming,
field sports as well as cooperative games and
activities. ​​Ages 8 to 13.
Regatta Ready
​Regatta Ready is for 10 – 16 year olds who want to learn more paddling skills and learn to compete in sprint canoe and kayak. If you have participated in CanoeKids and/or want to learn to train and compete, Regatta Ready is for you.

Schwatka Lake

Flatwater North spring & summer training takes place at Schwatka Lake Day Use Area at km 3.6 Chadburn Lake Road.
