Competitive Sprint Paddling (ages 14+)
May 8 - June 17, 2023
On water training will start on Monday, May 8 for our competitive athletes. We are training 8x a week: Monday through Sunday with two days off. It is recommended that athletes attend a minimum of 3 - 4 sessions per week. We ask that athletes arrive 15 minutes prior so that they can be warmed up and on the water for the above start times.
June 19 - August 18, 2023
Sprint Team training will include 1-2 on water training sessions per day from Monday to Sunday with two days off . We ask that athletes arrive 15 minutes prior so that they can be warmed up and on the water for the above start times. Please bring an extra pair of cloths, running shoes, sunscreen, food, and water to practice.
August 21 - September 16, 2023
Post season on water training continues for our competitive athletes the week of August 21 depending on water condition. Training sessions will be in the afternoons, Monday to Friday. It is recommended that athletes attend 3 - 4 sessions per week.
We are anticipating travelling to the following external competitions:
These regattas are optional but recommended if you're interested in continuing on to the Sprint team. Costs for the regatta and travel will be additional. Maximum fees per trip per athlete is $800 if signed up prior to prescribed deadline (Except for Nationals). Athletes who decide to attend after the deadline might have to pay higher fees depending on flight prices. Funding and fundraising money will be available to help families lower the costs of these trips.
Participants must sign up for membership before signing up for programs.
